How does vetdebts work?

Our service simplifies a veterinarian's life by taking the effort out of debt management.

Vetdebts provides veterinarians with the tools to collaborate together and eradicate debts from their communities. By sharing information on non-paying customers in one central and easily accessible database, Vetdebts makes it easy to pre-screen customers and gives veterinarians the opportunity to make informed decisions on all potential customers.

Unlike many traditional debt collection methods, our service is inexpensive, simple and effective.

Once your historical debtors have been entered into the Vetdebts system, other vet practices will be aware of the risk involved in dealing with this customers and your allocated team of solicitors will write to your debtors.

Are you a debt collector?

Absolutely not, we strive to prevent the debts before they occur.

In addition, if you do need any debt recovered, we do not take any commission. Our only fee is £10 per monthly subscription.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards, debit cards, paypal, standing orders and invoice payments. Our aim is to make your experience as simple as possible and suit your business practices.

Are there any hidden fees, signup charges or termination fees?

We don't believe in hidden fees, and that is why we can guarantee that the price you see is the price you get, that is one low flat fee of £10 per calendar month, per full time equivalent vet.

Will my personal details be safe?

All details are held in our secure database using the highest level of encryption to keep your data safe, secure and backed up.

How effective is Vetdebts?

Our registered vets have reported a very positive response from their customers, who are very anxious to avoid being on the vetdebts database.

Their customers were more concerned about the potential of their pet not being treated and in most cases set up payment plans to clear their debt.

One of our vets recouped the full annual cost of his subscription within two weeks of using our service.

How much does it cost?

The cost of the service is based on the number of fee earners you employ, ie £10 per full time equivalent vet. If you have 2.5 vets the cost is £25 and like all vets we are VAT registered so this will be added

As we see it each vet attracts a level of debt and consequently by equating the price to the number of vets you employ, we think it is a fair reflection of the actual cost. The price included access to the system, solicitors letters and regular contact with our support team.

Importantly there are no other costs, we don't take a % of monies recovered or have any hidden extras. It does not, however, cover the cost of taking a client to court as this is a variable that we can not control.

Can I cancel at any time?

Our initial term is twelve months for practices.This is because of the legal costs associated with processing all your historical debts and initiating legal action on your behalf. However, our guarantee to you is if your subscription does not pay for itself within the twelve month term, we will give you a refund of the difference of your subscription. One of our vets recouped the full annual cost of his subscription within two weeks of using our service.

If you do decide to end your subscription after this period, we would love to hear any feedback or suggestions you may want to share to help us improve our service.

How secure are my payment details on Vetdebts?

We use industry standard SSL technology to secure your transactions within the vetdebts system and all your financial details are held securely by our payment processors to the latest credit card industry standards.
